Simple Projects you can make with the Cricut Maker + Review

Hey #simplelifesociety! I'm so excited to announce my partnership with Cricut! Honestly, I have always wanted to own a Cricut machine, but made excuses as to why I don't need one. It has a large price tag, depending on what machine you're looking at, and it is an investment. I was filled with excitement when Cricut offered to gift me a machine and materials to create projects to share with my audience. I'm going to share my honest review, what you need to know before purchasing, and share the simple projects I created using the Cricut Maker as a beginner.

I am a beginner to this machine, but have been a craft and DIY enthusiast.. all my life!

This machine is meant to help crafters of all interests complete projects with ease.

Here are some questions to ask yourself before purchasing: What projects am I looking to create? What materials will I be working with?

Does this machine fit in my budget currently?

Will I be using this machine often? Am I willing to learn how to use the machine? Am I willing to go through trial and error while learning? Which machine is right for me? If you're wondering why you should purchase this machine, here are some reasons why: This machine is versatile.I can only speak for the Cricut Maker. It accurately cuts over 300 materials, including matboard, leather, basswood, crepe paper, fabric, vinyl and MORE. Here is the full list of materials Cricut offers that works with this machine.

It's a good value for your initial investment. It's not only a cutting machine, but gives you the ability to cut, draw, score, deboss, engrave, create perforations, all in one machine! Cricut is also dedicated to expanding it's suite of tools to continually add value to your machine.

It's user friendly. The Cricut Maker was easy to set up, and I was able to get a project up and running quickly. With Cricut Design Space on desktop and mobile, you can design from your phone or tablet. You can also connect to your machine via bluetooth! Cricut Design Space also has a large library of video tutorials to watch and learn from.

My Experience A large machine like the Cricut Maker could be intimidating. I was most afraid of making a mistake and wasting material! But you know what? That's how we learn. We make mistakes, and we learn from them. After a few mistakes, I mastered how to make my own sticker labels using adhesive vinyl. Then I ventured into iron-on transfers, then to Infusible Ink sheets. And the more confident I became, the more fun I was having!

This machine was easy to setup. I love how I can connect it to my laptop, phone, or tablet via bluetooth. Designing on mobile is surprisingly easy! Cricut Design space takes some time to learn if you are not already familiar with editing or designing software. With a Cricut Access Subscription, you have access to more than 100k images, and access to hundreds of fonts. You have the ability to choose from a pre-made design, tweak the design, or create your own from scratch. I like to do a mix of both!

I honestly see this machine as an investment that keeps on giving. I see myself creating more vinyl stickers to organize my home, making custom shirts for my family, and cutting materials to DIY for my wedding. There's still so much to learn and discover with this machine! If you are looking to craft things to sell to others, you could definitely make your money back on this machine, quickly.
