You can buy more furniture within your budget if you search for second-hand pieces! This can give you more money to put toward larger/longer-lasting pieces of furniture. You can also furnish your home quicker too! 2. Eco-friendly Think of it as recycling furniture. You are not buying more mass produced furniture, but taking someones pre-loved furniture and using it as your own.
3. Changing Styles and Spaces
If your style changes often, switching out furniture can be easier if you buy second hand. Or if you move often or are leasing, it's easier to y buy and sell second hand furniture when transitioning.
4. Less Commitment
If you're not ready to commit to $1000 credenzas, or $500 dining sets, I get it! Shop second hand and get what you need for less. Don't rent-to-own furniture (pay cash!) and maybe wait to invest in new furniture when you are settled in your "forever home."

2. Browse online or local thrift stores Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp App, Craigslist Local thrift stores: Goodwill, Value Village, Etc. *Pro-tip: Be patient and have an open-mind when shopping. You won't find exactly what you need right away.
3. Price Research If you see something you like, research the original retailer (if possible) and compare price

4. Price variables Don’t be afraid to negotiate
From personal seller: Condition discount - lower price if there's apparent physical/functional damage
Bulk discount - lower price if you purchase more than one item
"Pick up Today" discount - lower price if you can pick up today and pay cash
From thrift store: Is there an additional sale? (Ex: Tag color sales)
