I shared my YouTube silver play button unboxing on my channel, and it still feels surreal looking up from my laptop and seeing it hanging on my wall. If you're not familiar with with a play button is, YouTube has a reward program for it's creators. There is a silver reward for reaching 100k, gold button for 1 million, and diamond button for 10 million subscribers.
I received mine in the mail March 1st, 2018, after redeeming it on February 8th, and reaching 100k subscribers on January 1st, 2018. It came in fairly quickly, and I was so delighted when I saw a box from YouTube addressed to me!
It came boxed with a YouTube sticker on the front.
And inside is a black YouTube branded box holding the framed silver play button secured in foam along with a letter from the YouTube CEO. The frame itself is 12"x10" (smaller than I imagined!). But nonetheless, it's a symbol of hard work and endless days and nights filming, editing, uploading, and creating. It may have taken me a while, and being on and off of the platform, I am grateful for having a great community. I am proud of my library of content I've created so far, and thankful for the platform that lets me share my tutorials and connect with others all around the world. ​
